🇬🇷 Strategis – Maritime ICT Cluster welcomed the ENMC in the historic city of Athens for two days of an intense program, during which we held our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆.
👉 The General Assembly addressed essential topics such as the ENMC roadmap for the year ahead. It reviewed past activities and upcoming ones. Members shared news from the Blue Economy of their countries and expressed their expectations.
We were delighted to have the Scottish Maritime Cluster — Duncan Cunningham and Brian Fulton, as special guest, which presented its activities and discussed the current state of the maritime industry in the UK.
🌊 For the attendees on-site, the assembly was followed by several activities such as a tour of the Port of Piraeus and Marina Zea, networking dinners, and an accompanied visit to the maritime fair Posidonia.
Our member Baltic Sea & Space Cluster was well represented during the fair with a national pavillon. The ENMC attended the « 𝘗𝘖𝘓𝘈𝘕𝘋 – 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 » conference. Posidonia was also an opportunity to meet and discuss with Karin Orsel, Chairman of European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), and their General Secretary Sotiris Raptis, on sustainable blue economy and cluster issues.
⚓️ For our Chairman, Fabrice Maire — Cluster Maritime Luxembourgeois, it was an opportune moment to meet H.E. Elisabeth Cardoso, Ambassador of Luxembourg to Greece, Cyprus, Romania, who also visited Posidonia, and to inform her about the ENMC and collaboration with Greek stakeholders.

🇪🇸 The European Network of Maritime Clusters (ENMC) organized its 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 during the 𝗜𝗩 𝗜𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗩 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 in Seville. On October 4th, the ENMC Vice-President, Frederic Moncany de St-Aignan — Cluster Maritime Français, participated in the roundtable for the 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙤𝙢𝙮 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩 organized during the Congress. He discussed the French maritime policies and the role of the ENMC at the European level. Then, the members of the ENMC had the luck to attend a Gala dinner in the iconic place of the 𝘙𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘭𝘤𝘢𝘻𝘢𝘳.
👉 On October 5th, the 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 was organized at the 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢 𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢, and we are grateful for the warm welcome from the authorities. Then, the members visited the 𝘛𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘖𝘳𝘰, “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦”, which retraces with its maritime museum the centuries of history of Spain with the sea. After, they had the luck to visit the offshore patrol vessel named Vigía.
The ship is used for oceanic patrol, fishing control, escort, and maritime rescue.
👉 During the meeting, the members present on-site and online reviewed the past and future activities, communication strategy, and collaborations to strengthen. It was the first General Assembly of the ENMC as an official association — created on January 1st, 2023. Also, the ENMC welcomed its 12th member with Strategis – Maritime ICT Cluster — Gregory Yovanof, which will represent Greece.
🌊 The ENMC is continuing to grow and reinforce its dynamism. We thank the Cluster Marítimo Español for welcoming us to Spain and organizing these two activities days. The 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 will be held the first week of June, during Posidonia in Greece, in collaboration with Strategis – Maritime ICT Cluster. 🇬🇷
